It's a time consuming task gathering show details, bio's, pictures and press release info for the 250 shows in this years Melbourne Fringe Festival.

This is a long process which requires Michelle's team to collect information via email, mail and fax, then compile it into a meaningful structure. Insufficient information is a big problem and means chasing artists by phone and email to get complete details. The next step is to put together the media kit and all publicity information, while keeping up to date with last minute changes from artists.

solution:

Working together with Efront, a solution was developed that allows artists to self register their performance information, upload their publicity photos and bio's. An online form guides the artist through the information they need to provide. The artist can preview their media release online before it's vetted by the Buxton Walker team and released to the media.

Press release documents are dynamically created - allowing changes to be made by Buxton Walker without the need for reworking word documents. The media have a purpose built access point to the site which gives them full visibility of all the Fringe Shows and media releases and artist photos/bios.

This means the media have access to the latest artist and performance information from wherever they are whenever they need it.
