Only 2 years ago there were many who believed that Mobile WAP was going to be the next big thing for the internet. A lot of time and money has been invested in setting up these specially designed web pages that would work on internet enabled mobile phones.
Our experience was that internet on mobile phones was terrible. These WAP sites were not only bland, but frustrating to use and far and few between... so internet on the mobile was pretty much useless.
We've been using iPhones here in Australia for about 3 months now and can't wait for the 3G iPhone coming out in June (fingers crossed...). At home, your iPhone recognises your wireless network, saving you mobile bandwidth and giving you the network speed you enjoy at home.
Once you've used one, you will be asking - why has it taken this long?
