Melbourne company Property 10 has a new website!

"For many years Tim and Mark had been providing investment marketers with residential property on a wholesale level. They recognise the lack of service many end clients receive but more importantly, the poor value in pricing that end consumers face.

Acknowledging they have superior product and pricing to go direct to the market they embarked on a strategy to “cut out the middle man” and deliver a sound service to match. They embarked on delivering a complete property investment service that will manage an investment purchase from start to end including land and construction, taxation, finance, legal and property management. A true one stop shop that any consumer or partner could interface with."

Property 10 is the result of this work and partnership. It's been great working with Tim, Mark, Ange and the team. With design assistance from Bec Smith at Gamma Ray the site has come up swimmingly. Included in the site are some hand coded calculators and a newsletter subscription service along with nice clear and accessible content.

Congratulations to all involved and we know it'll be another great addition to the Property 10 arsenal.

Cheers
Mark

Gray Nicolls Launch

It's Friday, it's been a big week, and we've got a lot done. All up, I think we've made the internet a better place.

Over the last few weeks we've been working hard on upgrading the Gray Nicolls website. Gray Nicolls Sports distributes, Cricket, Rugby, Netball, Hockey, Squash, Tennis and even Darts equipment to almost 1,000 retailers in Australia and New Zealand through brands like Gray Nicolls, County, Steeden and Gilbert. No one can argue, we love our sport.

This project has been a little different from some of the other work we've done. The design side has been handled by Adam at HD Design, while we've looked after the content management system. Adams a real pro - and the process could not have been smoother.

The site was and still is for the large part in Mambo/Joomla - to be honest, not one of our favourite systems. We've manage to work with and around the system to provide Gray Nicolls an elegant solution for promoting their products and news, while providing a different look and feel for each brand.

It's been a fun and rewarding process! Now on to a well earned beverage.

Have a great weekend,
David

Web Design Melbourne - Page 1 in Google!

We're pleased to say that we've finally achieved our goal of a first page ranking in Google for "Web Design Melbourne" within Australia.

We've focussed on these 3 keyword variations for quite some time now. Here's an approximate progress timeline.

June 06 - Beyond the first 100 pages of results for Web Design Melbourne
Nov 06 - Within first 15 pages
Jan 07 - Within first 3 pages
March 07 - Second page of results

The job is not complete by any means. Rankings change, and it takes work to maintain a position. Sometimes your position may slip because of changes other people make to their websites.

Our Google ranking strategy takes time, patience and focus. Our online stores are built with search engine optimisation in mind. The online store system takes care of the critical elements such as page titles, urls and meta data automatically. Website content is just as critical - so we set up a process for owners to add their content and news without having to know the technical stuff.

Either way, we're chuffed.

David

St Ali - A little bit of web development

"Our aim is simple; to source the best green beans, roast them with care and attention to detail, then make great espresso, as good as it gets." - St Ali

It's great to work with people who love what they do and enjoy it. Mark Dundon and the guys at St Ali are into their coffee. They not only make amazing espresso, they source the beans and carefully roast them as well.

Like many people, Mark is flat chat running a business and was struggling to find the time to sit down with Dreamweaver and update his site. Coming to Efront Mark was looking to make his days a bit easier and find some more time. A quick assessment found that St Ali wasn't in need of a new site, just a little web development to make his current setup more functional. We took some time and implemented a neat, small CMS that let's St Ali add new coffee's, put in links for PayPal purchases and reorder their listings. This job was a good example of a situation where a small amount of work was much more effective than a re-design or completely new build.

Keep an eye out this week as we'll be adding Google's Blogger to the St Ali site to help them out with new announcements and specials...make sure if you're in the area to stop in for a coffee too....

Have a great week.
Mark
